Mrs. Wiggleworth's Hat book launch Feb 13 in Shoreline

Shoreline, WALocal News

On February 13, the EM Event Center in Shoreline will host the launch of _Mrs. Wigglesworth's Hat_, a children's book by Pat Erickson, who has been a cherished storyteller in Shoreline schools for over ten years. The book tells the story of Mrs. Wigglesworth, whose signature hat is whisked away by the wind during a storytelling session at Meridian Park, leaving her to wonder if the children would recognize her without it. Through her journey, she tries various hats provided by friends, searching for one that allows her to connect with her audience.

The event invites all community members, especially former students, to join Mrs. Wigglesworth, who is eager to see familiar faces. Each book will be sold for $10, with a portion of sales benefiting Pinky's Passion for a Parkinson's Cure, showcasing the event's community spirit. Additionally, the first 35 purchases will come with a free poster, enhancing the appeal of the launch. This celebration not only marks the release of the book but also highlights the importance of storytelling in fostering connections in the community.

The event encapsulates the joy of reading and the impact of local authors on children's literature.
