Shoreline, WALocal News

The Children's Parade, taking place on May 13, 2017, invites children aged 8 and under to celebrate the Richmond Beach Strawberry Festival with a lively procession themed around "Pokemon. " Participants are encouraged to plan their costumes and props, as they will gather for staging at 11:15 a. m. on NW 197th Street, with the parade commencing at 11:45 a. m.

The parade will feature two laps around the park, accompanied by the energetic sounds of a drum line from Shorewood High School. This event is designed for fun rather than competition, promoting creativity and community engagement. With no bicycles or pets allowed, the focus remains on the children's participation and enjoyment. Parents and guardians seeking more information can reach out to Sheri Ashleman, the Executive Director of the Richmond Beach Community Association. This festive occasion not only highlights local culture but also strengthens neighborhood connections among families.
