Planning begins for our nation's 250th anniversary

The event will feature a screening of a conversation with renowned historian Manisha Sinha, who will discuss themes from her acclaimed book on Reconstruction, described as an "Unfinished Revolution. " This initiative aims to engage the community in developing meaningful programming that reflects on American history and its relevance today. The focus on the Reconstruction era highlights critical themes recommended by the American Association for State and Local History (AASLH) for understanding America's founding. Participants will have the opportunity to share their perspectives and ideas, emphasizing inclusivity and collaborative learning.
