SKSR Scholarships for Future Educators

Shoreline, WALocal News

Sno-King School Retirees (SKSR) are launching a scholarship program aimed at supporting students in the Edmonds, Northshore, and Shoreline School Districts who aspire to become educators or work in school-related roles. Each scholarship provides $2,500 for the 2025-2026 academic year, with the opportunity for renewal for three additional years at $1,000 per year, thanks to a generous contribution from Winnie Smith, a dedicated member of SKSR. Applications are readily available in high school career centers and on the SKSR website, ensuring accessibility for all interested students. The submission deadline is March 17, 2025, allowing ample time for applicants to prepare their materials. Award recipients will be honored during a Scholarship Luncheon on April 10, 2025, highlighting the significance of their achievements.

This scholarship initiative reflects SKSR's commitment to fostering the next generation of educators and supporting educational careers. By investing in future teachers, SKSR is contributing to the overall improvement of educational standards in the community. This program not only aids students financially but also encourages them to pursue a fulfilling career in education.
