Shoreline community rallies for November Food Drive in support of Hopelink

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Shoreline Food Drive is actively seeking donations of non-perishable food and essential household items throughout November to assist local families facing food insecurity. As the demand for food assistance rises, community participation becomes increasingly vital. Residents can drop off their contributions at numerous local businesses and community centers in Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Mountlake Terrace, and North Seattle. The drive supports Hopelink's Shoreline location, which works to provide clients with diverse and nutritious food options. Most-needed items include canned meals, grains, baby and hygiene products, and cleaning supplies.

The initiative not only helps to alleviate hunger but also strengthens community ties by encouraging local involvement. Last year’s food drive saw a significant increase in donations, highlighting the community's commitment to supporting its neighbors. This year, organizers aim to surpass previous totals, making it essential for residents to contribute what they can.
