Shoreline youth compete at Nike Cross Country NW Regionals in Spokane

Shorewood and Shorecrest high school cross country teams achieved significant recognition at the Nike Cross Country Northwest Regionals in Spokane. The boys from Shorewood placed 9th in the Championship Division, earning All-Region honors and ranking as the top WA 3A team in the region. Max Billett led the team with a 20th place finish and a season-best time of 15:09. The girls from Shorewood, competing as Shoreline Distance, finished 9th in the Open Section 2 Division, with Olivia Decker and Cleo Dalasta setting personal records. Shorecrest's Ethan Urquhart made a strong impact by placing 4th in the Open Section 4 Division.

This event showcased runners from seven states, highlighting the competitive nature of the region. The local teams’ performances reflect their dedication and skill in cross country running. Four athletes, including Max Billett and Violet Koslowsky, were also named All-Stars by the Washington State Cross Country Coaches’ Association.
