Dramatic burglary and police pursuit in Woodway November 19, 2025

Edmonds Police arrested a 37-year-old man after he attempted to burglarize a Woodway residence on November 19, 2025. The homeowner, monitoring live surveillance footage, called 911 upon seeing an intruder on his property. Officers arrived to discover a white BMW used by the suspects, who fled the scene, colliding with two police vehicles during their escape. One suspect was arrested after a struggle with the homeowner, while the second escaped despite a significant area search. The arrested man had an outstanding felony warrant and faces numerous charges, including two counts of residential burglary and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Police confirmed the BMW was stolen from King County, and they recovered a stolen firearm inside the vehicle. The suspect was transported to a hospital for evaluation after claiming to have ingested drugs before being booked into Snohomish County Jail. Edmonds Police are continuing their investigation and encourage anyone with information to contact them.
