Shoreline, WALocal News

Ridgecrest businesses are hosting a food drive for Hopelink, aiming to collect 1,300 pounds of food to assist local families. Donation drop-off points are located at Café Aroma, Drumlin, Ridgecrest Public House, and Ridgecrest Books, all open for extended hours to facilitate contributions. The Hopelink Food Market in Shoreline enables families to shop for food and personal care items at no cost, addressing immediate community needs. Among the most requested items are non-perishable foods, personal care products, and hygiene items. This initiative encourages local residents to contribute to a vital cause, focusing on the importance of community support during challenging times.

The businesses involved offer upwards of 16 hours a day for seven weeks for donation drop-offs. Collectively, these efforts aim to ensure that the shelves at Hopelink remain stocked and accessible to those in need. Community-driven initiatives like this highlight both the urgency and the impact of local support in addressing food insecurity.
