Shorewood Stormrays lost 0-2 to Snohomish Panthers in the 3A District 1 final last Saturday, finishing the season with a record of 10-7-3. The Stormrays missed a penalty kick and conceded both goals in the final five minutes of the match. This season, Shorewood ranked second in District 1 and qualified for the 3A State Tournament as the #19 seed. They will face #14 Ridgeline in the first round on November 11. Edmonds-Woodway also advanced, defeating Shorecrest for third place, and will enter the tournament as the #15 seed.

The top four seeds for the tournament include Gig Harbor and Mt. Spokane. The quarter-finals will take place on November 15, with the finals scheduled for November 22 at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup. The tournament promises excitement as teams vie for the state championship.
