WeatherWatcher Very wet start to the month, with plenty more rain on the way

Shoreline, WALocal News

A new rainstorm is set to arrive late Sunday night, expected to bring lighter precipitation than last week’s weather events. Seasonal temperatures will continue, with highs in the low to mid-50s and lows in the mid-40s. Last week was marked by a wind advisory, with gusts reaching nearly 40 mph in some areas, and a significant rainfall event that brought 1. 39 inches on Wednesday alone. Lightning strikes in Lake Forest Park caused damage to both trees and residential electrical systems.

By November 7, the region recorded 2. 97 inches of rain, nearly half of the average total of 6. 00 inches for the month. The rainstorm warmth balanced out a chillier Tuesday, but more rain is expected to return midweek and persist through the weekend. Local meteorologists indicate potential windy conditions later in the week.

Residents can expect a brief break in the rain on Tuesday before the next storm system arrives.
