Shorewood cross-country Boys are WesCo South champions - both Boys and Girls are State bound

Shorewood Boys Cross Country team won the WesCo South League Championship, securing a spot for both the boys and girls teams at the State Championships. Max Billett defended his NW District 1 Championship title, finishing with a time of 15:47. 9, leading the boys to their fourth consecutive regional title. The boys placed six runners in the Top 18, while the girls finished second, placing six in the Top 26. Three runners from the boys team achieved personal records, demonstrating resilience against tough weather conditions.

The girls have now qualified for the state meet for three consecutive years, a feat not accomplished since 1984. Eli Graves and Isaiah Schuelke joined Billett in breaking personal bests, while Olivia Decker led the girls' efforts. The NW District 1 Regional competition included 15 3A schools from various leagues, with the top finishers earning state qualifications. Shorewood will next compete at the WIAA State XC Championships in Pasco, marking a significant achievement for the program.
