Cross Country Girls Shorecrest wins District 3A Championship - Shorewood takes 2nd - both will go to state

Shorecrest Girls Cross Country Team triumphed in the District 3A Championship held in Arlington on November 1, 2025, securing their fourth consecutive trip to State. Tenth grader Alex Urquhart dominated the girls race, finishing first with an impressive time of 19:02. Shorewood girls also excelled, finishing second and qualifying for State as well. This championship win underscores the competitive nature of cross country in the region and the dedication of local athletes. Urquhart's time of 19:02 not only showcases her individual talent but also reflects the rigorous training of the Shorecrest team.

Both teams’ successes are a testament to their hard work and commitment throughout the season. The Shorecrest program continues to build on its history of excellence in athletics. As they prepare for State, the teams aim to represent their school and community proudly.
