Woman dies in Shoreline domestic violence assault

A woman died from injuries sustained in a shooting incident in Shoreline, leading to the arrest of a 43-year-old man on domestic violence homicide charges. The King County Sheriff's Office responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the 20100 block of Whitman Ave N shortly after 1:30 AM on October 27. Deputies found the victim in the street and provided medical assistance, but she died at the scene. Officers from the Edmonds Police Department aided in securing the area while the KCSO Major Crimes Unit led the investigation. The suspect's first appearance hearing took place on October 28, and he had no prior cases referred to the King County prosecuting attorney's office.
