A community tree planting event took place at Paramount School Park on October 24, 2025, with over a hundred volunteers planting 64 shade trees. The Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties, in collaboration with the Green Shoreline Partnership, sponsored the initiative aimed at improving local green spaces. Shoreline City Council member Betsy Robertson addressed the crowd, thanking them for their efforts and emphasizing the environmental benefits of trees. She stated, “These open spaces are valuable assets for everyone,” highlighting their role in improving air quality and providing habitats for wildlife. Robertson urged participants to engage in future projects, reinforcing the importance of community stewardship.

The next opportunity for involvement is Green Shoreline Day on November 15, where more trees will be planted citywide. This event underscores the city's commitment to enhancing its natural environment and fostering community participation. Such initiatives not only beautify the area but also contribute to ecological health.
