The Shorecrest cross country team competed at the Nike Hole In The Wall Invitational on October 11, 2025, facing challenging weather conditions with rain and wind. Over 100 high school teams participated in the event, making it a competitive atmosphere. The standout performance came from the Shorecrest girls' team, which secured second place in the JV Silver race. Many athletes also achieved personal bests in the 5K distance, reflecting their hard work and dedication. The team’s next competition is scheduled for October 16 against Snohomish, Stanwood, and Shorewood at Valley View Middle School at specific times for different categories.

Junior varsity athletes will have two more races, while varsity athletes aim for the state competition set for November 8 in Pasco. The Shorecrest community, including coaches, staff, and families, expresses immense pride in the athletes' accomplishments and resilience. The team's performance at this meet is a promising indicator of their potential success in the upcoming state competition.
