Local Blood Drives in October

Shoreline, WALocal News

Bloodworks Northwest plans five blood drives in Shoreline and nearby areas throughout October, contributing to local healthcare needs. Scheduled locations include Shoreline Fire Department Station #51 and Bastyr University, among others. Community members can book appointments via the Bloodworks Northwest website or by calling 1-800-398-7888. In addition to the mobile drives, Bloodworks operates permanent donor centers in north Seattle and Lynnwood, which are open six days a week. These centers not only accept whole blood donations but also specialized donations like platelets and plasma using advanced apheresis machines.

The need for blood donations remains critical, especially during seasonal fluctuations. Participation from local residents is essential for ensuring a stable blood supply for hospitals in the region. Engaging in these drives supports community health and saves lives.
