Shoreline, WALocal News

Sound Transit contractor crews will implement overnight closures on I-5 this weekend as part of the Lynnwood Link Extension project. Northbound I-5 on- and off-ramps to westbound State Route 104/205th Street will close nightly from 9 PM to 6 AM on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28. The eastbound SR 104/205th Street on-ramp to northbound I-5 will also close during these hours, affecting local traffic flow. In addition, the right lane on southbound I-5 will close nightly from 8 PM to 6 AM, and the 220th Street Southwest on-ramp to southbound I-5 will close from 10 PM to 7 AM. These closures aim to facilitate the construction of the Lynnwood Link Extension, which is expected to enhance regional transit options.

Commuters should anticipate delays and plan alternate routes to avoid congestion. The project reflects ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure in the area. Local officials emphasize the importance of these upgrades for future transit efficiency.
