Shorecrest cross country team does well in The Mook meet in Oregon

The Shorecrest cross country team achieved outstanding results at The Mook meet in Tillamook, Oregon, on September 20, 2025, with an impressive 26 out of 37 athletes running personal bests in the 5k distance. The girls team, currently ranked 2nd in the state for the 3A division, celebrated a new school record set by one runner at 18:10, while two others broke the sophomore record with times of 18:38 and 18:55. For the boys, three freshmen excelled, with two breaking the Shorecrest freshman record at 16:20 and 16:28, and the third finishing at 17:46. The team’s overall performance highlights their potential and sets a promising tone for the season. Shorecrest will host a home meet on September 25, 2025, at 3:30 PM in Hamlin Park, welcoming local teams including Kamiak, Everett, Meadowdale, and Sultan.

This meet serves as a great opportunity for the community to support their athletes. Cross country remains a vital part of the Shorecrest athletic program, showcasing the talent and dedication of its runners.
