Winter coat drive begins at The Works

Shoreline, WALocal News

The Works has initiated its winter coat drive, inviting donations to aid students in the Shoreline School District. In 2024, the program distributed 722 coats, showcasing the community's generosity. Donations can be made every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8 PM or during designated weekday hours. The Works serves as a free clothing room, providing high-quality, gently used clothing and self-care items to children and teens in need. This initiative supports families who may struggle to afford winter clothing, ensuring that all students can stay warm.

The collection site is located at the Shoreline Center, with clear directions provided for easy access. Local families are encouraged to participate in the drive by donating coats or contacting their school's PTA for additional collection points. This community effort not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters a spirit of solidarity among Shoreline residents.
