The Everett Silvertips signed defenseman Henry Hlinka to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement. Hlinka, an 2008-born native of Lake Forest Park, WA, had an impressive season with the Seattle Jr. Kraken 16U team, scoring 12 goals and four assists in 16 games. His performance earned him a selection to the NAT1HL 16U First-Team All-Star list. Silvertips general manager Mike Fraser noted Hlinka's significant development since being added to the team's protected list last year, calling him a smart and mobile defender.

Hlinka's agreement guarantees him a WHL Scholarship for every season he plays in the league, providing educational benefits alongside his hockey career. His enthusiasm for joining the Silvertips reflects the team's commitment to fostering talent and engaging with their fan base. This signing emphasizes the Silvertips' focus on youth development and building a strong roster for future seasons. Hlinka's addition could strengthen the team’s defensive line as they prepare for upcoming challenges in the WHL.
