Community Preparedness Fair October 11, 2025 at Third Place Commons

NEMCo will host a Community Preparedness Fair on October 11, 2025, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. at Third Place Commons.

The fair focuses on educating Northshore residents about the importance of emergency preparedness plans in light of potential natural and human-made disasters. Attendees will have access to educational materials and live demonstrations on fire suppression and drone technology. NEMCo's emergency manager and volunteers will provide insights on creating communication and preparedness plans, as well as basic first aid and sanitation. The event aims to engage community members through interactive experiences and answer their questions. Raffle prizes will add an element of excitement, encouraging participation.

NEMCo emphasizes that in a major disaster, first responders may take up to two weeks to reach affected individuals, highlighting the fair's significance. This initiative aims to empower residents with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective disaster response.
