Cross-country Shorecrest meet with Archbishop Murphy, Monroe, and Mountlake Terrace

On September 10, 2025, Shorecrest cross country triumphed at McCollum Park, dominating the girls' race with eight runners finishing in the top ten. The boys' team performed admirably, winning the junior varsity race and securing second place in the varsity race against competitors Archbishop Murphy, Monroe, and Mountlake Terrace. The event illustrated a strong sense of camaraderie and competitiveness among the teams. Shorecrest's next competition is on September 18, 2025, at Jackson High School, where they will face off against Jackson, Marysville-Getchell, and Sultan. Just two days later, the team will travel to Tillamook, Oregon, to compete in the Mook XC Invitational, which includes 81 other teams.

The athletes and coaches are hopeful for their fourth consecutive co-ed state qualification this year, a significant goal for the program. This year marks an important milestone as Shorecrest fields its largest team to date, reflecting growing interest and participation in cross country. The team's recent performances position them as strong contenders in the upcoming meets.
