Shorewood boys in first place WesCo South Tennis

The Shorewood boys tennis team kicked off their Fall 2025 season with a thrilling 4-3 win against Glacier Peak on September 4. Sophomore Jacob Mignogna emerged as the hero, rallying from a set down to clinch the match. Following this, Shorewood dominated both Lynnwood and Edmonds-Woodway, finishing those matches 7-0. Xander Gordon, a standout player and two-time state award winner, showcased his prowess by defeating Nalu Akiona, a two-time state qualifier, without dropping a game. The team's record now stands at 3-0, complemented by a remarkable 20-1 individual match record.

Their performance reflects a blend of skill and teamwork, essential for maintaining their champion status. As they continue the season, Shorewood aims to build on this momentum while navigating upcoming matches against cross-town rivals. The team's depth proved crucial in their recent victory over Shorecrest, solidifying their position at the top of the WesCo South standings.
