Yoga for Seniors at the Senior Activity Center

The Shoreline Lake Forest Park Senior Activity Center announces openings in its chair and mat yoga classes aimed at seniors aged 50 and older. Classes will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from October 6 to December 19, 2025. Instructor Heidi Mair, a certified Wellness Counselor and Yoga Teacher, has over 3,030 hours of teaching experience, specializing in yoga for active older adults. Each class includes breath awareness, mindful meditation, and a sequence of poses to improve balance and strength. Registration is in-person only, and interested individuals can call 206-365-1536 to check class availability.

Members of the senior center will pay $100, while non-members will incur a fee of $150. This initiative aims to promote physical and mental well-being among seniors in the community. The classes provide a structured environment for older adults to engage in healthful activities tailored to their needs.
