Fircrest School hosting Blood Drive August 27, 2025

Shoreline, WALocal News

Bloodworks Northwest will host a blood drive at Fircrest School on August 27, 2025, from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. The bloodmobile will be stationed at 15230 15th Avenue NE, making it accessible for donors in Shoreline.

Following a successful collection of over 60 units earlier this month, this drive aims to replenish critically low blood supplies as Labor Day weekend approaches. The need for donations is heightened due to an impending hurricane on the east coast. Donors are encouraged to book appointments through www. bloodworksnw. org or by calling 1-800-398-7888, although walk-ins will be accepted based on availability.

Whole blood donations can occur every eight weeks, making it a beneficial routine for both donors and recipients. Bloodworks Northwest also operates donation centers in Lynnwood and northern Seattle, which include apheresis machines for collecting blood products like platelets and plasma. Additional mobile drives are scheduled in Richmond Beach on September 6 and in Shoreline later in September to further support local blood supply needs.
