Shoreline, WALocal News

Major closures on NE 145th Street and I-5 will commence on August 25, 2025, impacting traffic for weeks. The on-ramp to southbound I-5 will fully close, followed by the southbound off-ramp on September 2. These closures are part of the 145th Street Corridor and I-5 Interchange projects, aimed at enhancing safety and traffic flow. The City of Shoreline will coordinate with the Washington State Department of Transportation to manage detours effectively. Public Works Director Tricia Juhnke highlighted the critical nature of this construction work.

Once NE 145th Street reopens in mid-September, a new roundabout will be introduced, allowing for temporary traffic flow. A second roundabout is scheduled to open in early 2026, further improving the corridor. Drivers are advised to reduce speed and stay alert in the active work zone.
