Current status of 145th freeway roundabouts

Shoreline, WALocal News

The city is advancing the construction of two roundabouts on N 145th to facilitate traffic entering and exiting I-5. Located on either side of the freeway, the roundabouts aim to enhance traffic control in the area. The project has encountered delays, complicating its timeline. The 148th Transit station, operational just north of 145th, serves as a critical transit hub in the region. The city combined this roundabout initiative with the 145th corridor project to streamline operations under one contractor.

This consolidation aims to minimize conflicts and improve overall traffic management during construction. The roundabouts are designed to manage the increased traffic flow effectively. Local officials expect the completed project will significantly enhance commuter experiences in both Seattle and Shoreline.
