Richmond Highlands Rainbow Girls Celebrate 80 Years in Shoreline
The Richmond Highlands Rainbow Girls celebrate 80 years of empowering young women in Shoreline through leadership and service initiatives. Despite facing membership challenges during the pandemic, the organization has successfully rebuilt its ranks and upheld its traditions. At the 99th convention held in Pasco, WA, Annalise Brush was elected state president, becoming only the fourth member from Richmond Highlands to achieve this honor. The group raised $33,667. 66 for Child's Play, a nonprofit that supports children in hospitals, showcasing their commitment to community service.
Looking ahead, they will focus fundraising efforts on Camp Prime Time, which provides outdoor experiences for children with serious illnesses. Lilia Pearson Maas was recognized for her outstanding service hours and appointed Leadership Chair, tasked with inspiring future members through statewide leadership camps. The community expresses pride in the accomplishments of its young women, emphasizing the impact of the Rainbow Girls on personal development.
