Hot weather didn't deter protestors Sunday

Shoreline, WALocal News

Protesters gathered at the Shoreline-Edmonds border on Sunday, where they displayed signs addressing issues such as President Trump's moral character and civil rights. Approximately 50 residents joined the event, which is part of a series of sign-waving gatherings organized by Shoreline-based Everyday Activists. These events occur regularly on Sundays from 1 to 2 PM at the intersection of Aurora Ave N and N 205th St. The group announced a schedule change for their Labor Day weekend event, moving it from August 31 to September 1, 2025, to coincide with the "Workers Over Billionaires" Nationwide Day of Action. This shift highlights the group's commitment to worker rights and activism.

The protests serve as a platform for residents to voice their concerns on pressing political issues. Community engagement in such events has been vital in fostering local dialogue and activism. The ongoing efforts reflect the community's desire for change and representation in the political landscape.
