Clear The Shelters pet adoption campaign starts August 1, 2025

The Clear The Shelters campaign allows individuals to adopt cats and dogs from participating shelters for only $30, running until August 31, 2025. This initiative promotes pet adoption while supporting local animal shelters across the nation. King County's Manager Tim Anderson emphasized the importance of this campaign, calling it a great opportunity for families to welcome a new pet into their homes. The King County Pet Adoption Center, located at 21615 64th Ave. S.

in Kent, operates from noon to 5 PM on weekdays and noon to 4 PM on weekends. Individuals can view available animals online at kingcounty. gov/AdoptAPet. Donations to support local shelters can be made through September 15 at ClearTheSheltersFund. org.
