Temporary closure of northbound I-5 off-ramp at 145th Street begins July 28, 2025

Shoreline, WALocal News

Starting July 28, the City of Shoreline will initiate phased closures of I-5 ramps at N 145th Street, leading to a complete shutdown of the overpass from September 2 to September 17, 2025. As part of the roadway improvements, crews will open an additional lane on the northbound off-ramp and construct a roundabout on the west end of the overpass. The northbound I-5 off-ramp will close until August 8, followed by the N 145th Street on-ramp to southbound I-5 until September 17. Detours will redirect drivers to N 155th and N 130th Streets, while maintaining access for pedestrians over the overpass. Local authorities stress the importance of safety during the construction, urging drivers to reduce speed and remain vigilant.

The project aims to improve traffic management and reduce congestion in the area, serving as a long-term solution for local commuters. Pedestrian access will continue to be available, emphasizing the city’s commitment to safety. The roundabout will initially operate in a single-lane configuration once construction concludes.
