LFP Climate Element open for public comment through August 11, 2025

Shoreline, WALocal News

The City of Lake Forest Park commenced the Climate Element's development in fall 2024, actively engaging residents on climate change impacts and solutions. Feedback from the community has informed the draft, which was submitted to the Department of Commerce in June 2025. The Planning Commission and City Council will review this draft throughout 2025 to ensure it aligns with community needs. Public input will be solicited from June 16 to August 11, 2025, providing residents an opportunity to influence the final document. This initiative aims to strengthen local responses to climate challenges and promote sustainability.

The Climate Element will be part of the broader 2025 Comprehensive Plan for Lake Forest Park. Community involvement is crucial for the plan's success, as it reflects local priorities and concerns. The City encourages residents to visit the public comment webpage to review the draft and provide feedback.
