NEMCo and ACS train together for the first time

On July 27, 2025, the Northshore Emergency Management Coalition (NEMCo) and Shoreline Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS) combined efforts for their inaugural training session. The collaboration included around 35 volunteer amateur radio operators from ACS and the NEMCo drone team. Their primary goal was to conduct aerial surveys and provide live video feeds to local public safety agencies, ensuring effective communication during emergencies. "This was our first time working together and it was very successful," remarked a representative, emphasizing the significance of the event. NEMCo was established to enhance emergency management resources in the Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, and Shoreline areas, highlighting its local relevance.

The training session signifies a crucial step in fostering collaboration between volunteer organizations dedicated to community safety. Improved coordination will bolster response efforts during disasters, ultimately benefiting residents. Such initiatives reflect a growing commitment to preparedness in the face of potential emergencies.
