The City of Shoreline and WSU Extension Master Gardeners will host three free classes focused on climate-smart gardening, aiming to equip residents with sustainable practices. Participants will learn from experts about biodiversity protection, water conservation, and reducing carbon footprints through home gardening. Key topics include selecting drought-resistant plants and strategies to attract and sustain local pollinators. Classes will occur on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, starting July 26 with a focus on protecting pollinators. The following sessions will address increasing tree cover and creating resilient yards.
