Fleet Week activities plus service members can ride all Sound Transit free

Shoreline, WALocal News

Sound Transit will honor military personnel by offering free transit from July 29 to August 3, 2025, during Seattle Fleet Week. Active duty members, veterans, and retirees can ride Link light rail, Sounder commuter trains, and Sound Transit Express buses without charge. Those not in uniform must show valid military identification, such as a Uniformed Identification Card or DD-214, when boarding. The week features public ship tours and a Parade of Ships on July 29 at 1 PM, which includes a Coast Guard Search and Rescue demonstration. This initiative underscores the city's commitment to recognizing its military community, allowing the public to meet sailors and guardsmen.

Fleet Week events will also include free music and tours of the Coast Guard Museum Northwest. This celebration of military heritage fosters community engagement and appreciation for service members. Seattle Fleet Week serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces while providing an opportunity for public interaction.
