Stolen South County Fire vehicle recovered in Shoreline

Edmonds Police are investigating the theft of a South County Fire Ford F-150, stolen during a residential fire investigation on Friday morning. The vehicle was parked by firefighters with emergency lights on to alert traffic, but within three minutes, an unknown man accessed it and drove away. Witnesses at the scene reported that the fleeing truck struck another South County Fire vehicle. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded rapidly, recovering the stolen F-150 in Shoreline shortly after noon, where it showed only minor cosmetic damage. All fire department equipment remained untouched, with the vehicle's fuel card being the only missing item.

No injuries occurred during the incident, but the suspect has not yet been located. This theft highlights the risks emergency responders face while on duty. Police encourage anyone with information to reach out to them.
