Shorewood's Rylie Gettmann and Luke Madath dominated the 10th Annual Snohomish Summer Smash, winning multiple titles in a highly competitive field. Gettmann captured the Girls Gold Singles title, while Madath triumphed in the Boys Gold Singles and together they won the Mixed Gold Doubles title. The tournament, held from July 17-20, 2025, at Snohomish High School, featured 175 players from over thirty high schools, a significant increase from the 48 participants in its inaugural year in 2015. Competitors participated in three skill levels: Gold, Silver, and Bronze, accommodating various levels of experience. The event provided a platform for high school athletes aged 14-18 to challenge themselves against peers from the region.

Gettmann and Madath's achievements underscore the growing tennis talent in the area. The tournament's expansion reflects a strong interest in junior tennis in Washington state. As the Summer Smash continues to grow, it serves as a crucial stepping stone for young athletes aspiring to excel in the sport.
