Shoreline College partners with Shoreline Fire to offer two intro courses for fire fighting

Shoreline College and Shoreline Fire will conduct two intensive training courses for individuals 18 and older from August 11-15, 2025, at the Shoreline Fire Department Training Facility. The first course offers an in-depth introduction to vital fire service skills, covering topics such as hose operations, SCBA use, and first aid/CPR certification. The second course focuses on wildland firefighting, adhering to the National Wildfire Coordinating Group curriculum, and includes practical field exercises. Each course requires a registration fee of $150. These programs serve as an excellent entry point for those pursuing a career in firefighting or emergency response.

Participants will gain hands-on experience that can lead to high-impact careers in public safety. The training aims to build essential skills in fire behavior, suppression strategies, and emergency response. Enrolling in these courses will provide participants with valuable real-world skills in managing fire emergencies effectively.
