Thief steals Everett Fire engine and goes on rampage in north Everett

A suspect stole a fire engine in Everett and drove it recklessly, damaging numerous parked vehicles and landscaping in several areas. The theft occurred around 11:00 PM when the engine crew returned from a medical emergency to find their apparatus missing. Witnesses reported the fire engine striking parked cars at high speeds, leading to multiple collisions across five locations, including a significant incident involving ten parked vehicles. Everett Police responded quickly, establishing containment and conducting a K-9 track, but the suspect fled on foot and remains at large. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the chaos, highlighting the rapid response of authorities.

The stolen fire engine, a 2018 Pierce Enforcer Pumper, suffered significant damage and is now impounded for evidence. A reserve apparatus has been deployed to ensure emergency services are not interrupted for the Everett community. This incident raises concerns about public safety and the security of emergency vehicles.
