Shoreline City Manager to appoint Pool Facility Advisory Committee

Shoreline, WALocal News

Shoreline is forming a Pool Facility Advisory Committee to engage residents in planning a new pool facility, with applications due by 5:00 PM on July 28, 2025. The City Manager will appoint 12 to 14 members, who will meet from September 2025 through February 2026. This committee will evaluate various aspects of the pool project, including designs and funding models, ultimately providing recommendations to the City Manager. These insights will play a crucial role in shaping the City Manager's proposal for a potential funding measure to be discussed by the City Council for the November 2026 election ballot. The committee will hold eight in-person meetings at Shoreline City Hall on Tuesday evenings.

Each member will receive a $50 stipend for attending meetings, and applicants do not need prior experience. In addition to community members, representatives from the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services/Tree Board and the Shoreline School District will also participate. This initiative aims to gather diverse community input to ensure the pool facility meets local needs.
