A Michigan-based scammer must pay over $8. 2 million in penalties and restitution for deceiving businesses in Washington. King County Superior Court Judge Maureen McKee imposed a $7. 4 million penalty against Labor Law Poster Service and its principals, alongside $850,000 in consumer restitution. The Attorney General’s Office will also receive interest on the restitution and attorney fees, emphasizing the financial repercussions for fraudulent activities.

This case highlights the ongoing efforts of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office to protect consumers from deceptive business practices. Similar lawsuits have been filed in the past, indicating a pattern of fraudulent behavior by the defendants.
