SAFe Rescue will host its Home Run Adoption Event on July 19, 2025, from 12:00 to 5:00 PM at 20226 Ballinger Way NE, Shoreline, WA. The event aims to connect the community with kittens in need, offering reduced adoption fees of $200 for pairs, down from $350. Attendees can meet Seattle Mariners pitcher Andrés Muñoz, who will be present for an hour, enhancing the event's appeal. Education stations will provide resources for new cat parents, while giveaways and baseball-themed games will entertain families. The event responds to the seasonal influx of orphaned kittens, with nearly 2,000 felines finding homes through SAFe each year.

“Events like this make that possible,” says Sarah Theriault, SAFe Adoption Manager. The event is supported by national nonprofit Petco Love and MetLife, showcasing community collaboration. SAFe Rescue operates as a non-profit, no-kill organization dedicated to finding loving homes for homeless cats.
