Single-lane overnight closures on Ballinger Way in LFP for the rest of July

Shoreline, WALocal News

Overnight lane closures will begin on July 13, 2025, on State Route 104 and adjacent streets in Lake Forest Park for the Lyon Creek fish barrier removal project. The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will implement single-lane closures from 9 PM to 5 AM, Sunday through Friday, for several weeks. Flaggers will manage traffic flow through the work zones during this time. Later this summer, crews will replace an existing 4-foot-wide culvert with a new 24-foot structure, necessitating a 35-day full closure of the highway. Signed detours will be in place to direct motorists around the affected areas.

This project aims to improve fish passage and enhance local ecosystems. Real-time traffic updates will be accessible via the WSDOT mobile app and email notifications. The project reflects ongoing efforts to address environmental concerns in the region.
