Sunday Sign-wavings and a special Nationwide Day of Action continue in July

Shoreline, WALocal News

Shoreline's Everyday Activists organize "Social Justice Sundays" sign-waving events every Sunday in July at the intersection of Aurora Avenue N and N 205th St. These gatherings, scheduled from 1-2 PM, focus on the theme, "United, we stand. Divided, we fall. " Additionally, a special rally called "Good Trouble" is planned for July 17 from 4:30-6 PM at Shoreline's Park at Town Center. This rally coincides with the fifth anniversary of civil rights icon John Lewis's death, who famously urged people to "get in good trouble.

" Participants are invited to bring signs and donate shelf-stable food and toiletries to support Hopelink. The events, organized by Indivisible Shoreline WA and Everyday Activists, aim to foster community engagement and activism. By encouraging donations and participation, the organizers hope to amplify voices in the fight for social justice. These initiatives reflect a commitment to addressing local social issues and honoring the legacy of civil rights movements.
