The Marysville Community Food Bank struggles with a significant shortage of supplies, coinciding with increased demand for assistance. Donations are being collected until May 14 at the Marysville Civic Center and the Community Center. Food bank director Amy Howell highlighted the dire circumstances, saying, “Our food supplies are depleted. We urgently need help to continue feeding families in our community. ” The most-needed items include canned proteins, cereals, and baby supplies like diapers and baby food.

This food drive plays a crucial role in supporting local families facing food insecurity. Historically, food banks in the area have relied on community support during challenging times. Residents are encouraged to contribute whatever they can to help replenish the shelves. Donations can also be made online at the food bank's website.
