Wonderful winter fun in Marysville
This winter, Marysville is hosting a lineup of community events aimed at promoting local engagement and charitable causes. The Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run on November 27 at 9 a. m. encourages participants to wear holiday attire, with all proceeds benefiting Lakewood High School's cross country team. Following this, the Merrysville for the Holidays event on December 6 will feature a holiday market, live music, and a parade, culminating in a tree lighting ceremony hosted by Mayor Nehring.
The Heroes & Hoops Charity Basketball Tournament on December 7 aims to raise funds for Seattle Children's Hospital and Toys for Tots, featuring local first responders as participants. Additionally, on the same day, the Shopper Sunday & Cookie Walk invites residents to explore local businesses while enjoying sweet treats. The Jingle Bell 5K Fun Run on December 14 offers another opportunity for festive participation, with proceeds again benefiting local athletics. These events not only promote local businesses and community spirit but also raise funds for important causes, demonstrating Marysville's commitment to supporting its residents and needs.
