The Marysville Police Department is actively investigating a stabbing that resulted in the death of a 66-year-old man on 2nd Street early Monday morning. Responding to a report of an unresponsive individual, officers arrived to find a neighbor performing CPR on the victim. Despite the prompt efforts of police and the Marysville Fire Department, the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities have deployed a police K-9 and drone to aid in locating any potential suspects. Detectives from the Marysville Investigations Unit are currently leading the investigation, focusing on gathering evidence and witness statements.
