Stabbing death on 2nd Street in Marysville under investigation

Early Monday morning, a stabbing incident in the 1200 block of 2nd Street, Marysville, led to the death of a 66-year-old man. Police were alerted at 6:17 a. m. and found the victim unresponsive on the sidewalk, where a neighbor was performing CPR. Despite the urgent life-saving measures initiated by both the neighbor and responding officers, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

In an effort to locate any possible suspects, authorities deployed a police K-9 and drone for thorough area surveillance. The Marysville Investigations Unit is actively working on the case, and they have requested that anyone with relevant information contact them. Investigators have indicated that they believe this is an isolated incident, alleviating immediate public safety concerns. The community is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
