Marysville Utility Rates to Increase by 5 in 2025

Marysville, WALocal News

The City of Marysville is set to implement a 5% increase in utility rates for water, sewer, and stormwater services starting January 2025. This increase is primarily driven by inflation and the rising costs of water purchased from the City of Everett, which will result in an additional charge of $9. 61 for a typical customer’s bimonthly bill, equating to $4. 81 monthly. In contrast, rates for garbage, recycling, and yard waste will remain unchanged, providing some relief to residents.

The Utility Billing department is dedicated to assisting customers with their inquiries and offers multiple payment options, including in-person payments at the Civic Center, pay-by-phone services, and hassle-free automatic bank drafts. Furthermore, the city will enhance its yard waste collection service, transitioning to weekly pickups year-round beginning January 1, 2024. For those needing additional yard waste pickup, charges will apply for extra waste. Residents are encouraged to reach out for more information or to initiate services. This proactive approach by the city underscores its commitment to effective utility management and customer service.
