Everett man arrested for attempted kidnapping

On August 14th, a shocking attempted kidnapping unfolded in Marysville, WA, when a father intervened as a man claimed his child was his while trying to enter their parked vehicle. The altercation began after the father exited the car, leading to a brief struggle as he pushed the suspect away and locked the doors with the mother still inside. The suspect made a second attempt to access the vehicle but was ultimately shoved into the roadway by the father. Following the incident, police quickly broadcast descriptions of the suspect and his vehicle, leading to his arrest half a mile away. The 51-year-old Everett man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of Attempted Kidnapping 2nd Degree.

Thankfully, the child was frightened but unharmed, and both parents, along with an independent witness, were able to identify the suspect.
